If a shareholder has a legal name change, he or she should submit written notification of the name change with a copy of the legal document authorizing the change (e.g. marriage certificate, divorce decree specifically restoring former name, adoption decree, etc.) to the OHNC office.

Shareholders may request that their enrollment number and the corporation where they are enrolled be included on the certificate. Alaska Native children and persons not on the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) roll may also request a Certificate of Indian Blood. The request must be accompanied by a copy of a birth certificate.
Shareholders may submit a written notification to the OHNC, 2702 Denali Street, Suite 100 Anchorage, Alaska 99503. It must be signed by the shareholder and include the shareholder's name, new address, telephone number, birth date, and social security number.
Native corporation stock cannot be sold and enrollment to the corporation closed in the 1970s. Today, the only way to become a shareholder is to receive stock through inheritance or as a gift from an OHNC shareholder. For a gifting packet, contact
