Ron Berntsen, Sr.
Ron Berntsen, Sr. has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1981 and has served in the past as Vice President and Secretary. Ron is an advocate for being conservative and very responsible with the assets and growth of the Old Harbor Native Corporation. Ron serves on many different committees and subsidiary boards for the corporation.
Ron has worked as a self-employed commercial fisherman, carpenter and in various capacities for the City of Old Harbor. In Ron’s early 60’s, he received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Human Services from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Since graduation Ron works as a substance abuse counselor.
Ron was also an active volunteer with the Booster Club and Little Wrestlers at the Old Harbor School.
