Lily O’Brien was elected to the board of directors in 2009 and she brings many new ideas and exiting views for the board.  Her past work experience include working as a typesetter and production manager at the Tundra Times, receptionist at Nova Property Management, BCS/OCS Operator and accounting clerk at an Anchorage Post Office, office manager for KJ Construction and as a home daycare provider while raising her children.  She has been a volunteer at a head start classroom in Nenana.  She is presently on the Indian Education Board and has served as a Policy Council Representative for the Nenana Head Start. 

She is currently attending college at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and will be receiving her Associates Degree in Applied Business with a concentration in Business Entrepreneurship. She is also taking courses in Tribal Management. 

She lives in Nenana, Alaska with her husband and together they have nine children.  They enjoy subsistence hunting, fishing and gathering.  Lily enjoys watching her kids play sports, traditional subsistence activities, reading books on health and nutrition and watching documentaries.
